We would like to express our gratitude to our supporters-Royal Oak church from Michigan (USA) and its member, our old friend Chris Christopher, for their financial support, which allows us to sustain our prayer home. This year gave us several serving pastors, each of whom brought something new into the history of our church. So we consider that as a huge privilege.
At Easter pastor Bonnie Campbell received new members to our church-Gintaras, Valentinas, Gintaras P., Halina and Neda. In summer our youths Rokas and Gintaras took part in the camps, organized by the District, went canoeing, visited Ventės Ragas.
In August Halina went to the preventive camp for the youth and adults “No- to drugs and violence”. The camp was organized by the friends of the church-the workers of the organization “Gyvenimo vartai’. On September 17 the celebration “Pancakes-ice-cream-jelly” was organized by the initiative of pastor Remigijus Matulaitis. We sang, prayed, watched entertaining movies. After the official part we tasted the pancakes, made by the members of our congregation. On August 24-25 Janina and Jadvyga took part in the international women’s seminar “One in the Spirit”, arranged in Šventoji.
In autumn we went to Vilnius to take part in the feast of evangelization, which was arranged by preacher David Hataway from England for the second time in a row. In September one member of our church had an opportunity to take part in the conference in Kaunas, arranged by the Society of Children Christian Education, where wonderful reports were presented by our guests from Switzerland and Estonia.
In November Janina, Jadvyga, Onutė, Jadvyga B., Rokas took part in the action, organised by the Food Bank, when the food, donated by the people, were given out to people with low incomes.
In December we went to Christmas songs concert, which was a gift to everybody from the youth of the Baptist Church. This new year traditionally began with the week of Christian Unity. We took part in ecumenical worship service in the small church of Resurection.
Currently the program „Help for the Seniors“ is being implemented in our church, we also have women‘s group meetings and prayer evenings. We have established a small library in our church by donating our personal books to it. I want to thank the Lord for the ministries of our members while taking care of our church and providing help to those in need.
