We are glad that our congregation celebrated the 10th anniversary of the church this year! Another joyful event was that Pastor Gražina Belousova received two new members of the church- Katerina and Valentinas. In autumn we were given the opportunity to take part in the seminar “We want to lead a sober life”, which was organized by Kaunas UMC. At the seminar we heard a lot of new information about alcoholism and other addictions.
At Christmas we had a great pleasure to listen to the concert of our girls. The girls were given gifts, made by Regina and other members of the council. We are thankful to Doris Snyder from Pennsylvania (USA), who sent us her personal Christmas gifts. We are especially blessed to have our organist Ina among us, thanks to whom, like real singing church, we are able to worship and to glorify our Lord.
This year we renewed our Bible studies. Maybe our discussions look like a forum or a Christian discussion club, but it is great, that people are interested in the Bible, its heroes, the culture of the time of Christ.
In January we had a commemoration worship service to honor our member Bronelė, who died a year ago. Ten years ago Bronelė was one of the first to join the newly founded church in Kazlų Rūda.
We try to help those who are in need according our posibilities-we buy them food, donate clothes. We are glad that there is a sense of humour in our congregation and we can boast by a perfect attendance of the worship services! The future vision of all of us is to revive children’s activities in our church. With God’s help we can do a lot.
We wish God’s blessing and active prayer life to the believers of our congregation! “…Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need”(Hebrews 4:16).
