Love to others in the UMC in Kaunas is displayed through all services: Children‘s Day Centre, shower program, medical consultation and medical support, home nursing, help and psychological consultation for persons, who are dependent upon alcohol and drugs. Love also is displayed during the Sunday Worship and the Bible study. In 2008 there were three weddings – two of them were connected with the community of our Church; people were visited. I want to rejoice that nobody was seen off to the place of the eternal rest. This year even four persons became Lord‘s children, accepting the Holy Sacrament; three of them said „Yes“ to Jesus Christ, as their personal Savior. Two persons joined in the community of the UMC in Kaunas, becoming its members. A special event was on September 7 in the UMC in Kaunas – Ausrine, when accepting the Confirmation, not only confirmed her Holy Christening and accepted Jesus Christ in her heart, but she also became a new member of the UMC in Kaunas. It‘s the historical event, for it‘s the first Confirmation in Kaunas, and probably in Lithuania, from 1995, when the UMC in Lithuania was restored. I shared my experience and all things in the children‘s and youth‘s camps of the UMC in Lithuania.

A special time and experience were in July, when guests from Milan, Italy, visited us – they led the Bible study for children and grown-up. This visit was special, because the group of guests was led by Kristin Markay, the former pastor of the UMC in Kaunas. The guests left a wonderful love and an endless experience.
Though there are several things, because of which the UMC in Kaunas has to gather – it‘s the Sunday school, youth‘s meetings and more active participation in the Bible study. We also have some tasks, which we can‘t solve quickly: the clear-out of the yard of the UMC in Kaunas and all surroundings, too, and the retrieval of the property of the Church. These problems were mentioned in my report during the last Conference of the UMC in Kaunas, so we really have some things to do.
